In press conference today, Reinaldo Echemendía, its director, told that the announcement for the festivities will be realized on September 12th at night, in the context of a spectacle that for three days will restore pieces representative of the company, in the Principal Theater of this city.

Buen aniversario is entitled the presentation, where there will be revived fragments of “Iku Lobi Ocha”, “Bembé“, “Sab“, “Sueño Abakuá”, “De La Habana vengo, a La Habana voy”, “Suite de bailes populares cubanos” and “Kímbara“, all of the repertoire of the BFC in over two decades of work.

It is an ambitious project, since it does a trip through everything the company has sung or danced, especially over the past few years.

For the 25th anniversary, the prestigious Camagüeyan group will reserve the premiere of “Orishas añá”, a work with a complex performance on the part of the soloist ballet dancers, as well as a high esthetic level in the design of lights, wardrobe and scenery.

With a wide active repertoire, the Camagüeyan company comprises the most distinctive local expressions of the Cuban folklore, both of the African heredity and of other urban and rural expressions.
