The ceremony will be carried that marks the bicentenary of the birth of the authoress, whose native house was declared last February a National Monument.

The sculpture is made of bronze and was created fbe the also Camagüeyan Sergio Roque, it has over two meters high and it will remain placed in the outskirts of the above-mentioned house, in a triangular space in the confluence of the streets Avellaneda and General Gómez, emplacement endorsed by the National Committee of Monuments.

Irma Horta, provincial director of Culture, did today the announcement in press conference about the central program for the date indicated from Friday until next Monday.

The project includes actions in the literature, the theater, the music, the plastic arts and the museology.
 
Among these activities are the presentation on Friday, among others works, of the books Autobiografía y cartas de amor and La Avellaneda y su bicentenario, published by the local publishing house Ácana.

On Saturday will take place a literary panel and the sowing of 200 plants of "mariposa" -the national flower- and 55 of royal palms, in the new recreational area The Lake of the Dreams.

The program will continue in the course of 2014, and it introduces in the remaining stage the premiere of a choreography and of plays in homage to La Avellaneda, among other actions.

Died on February 1st, 1873 in Spain, where she rests, this authoress was a dramatist, poetess, narrator and journalist.
