CAMAGÜEY.- As part of the parades around the neighborhoods in the city, the merry caravan from the San Juan in Camagüey went out, to take along reminiscents of the most awaited and popular events to streets and neighborhoods that with each June coincide with the best of summer.

Although these processions are not traditional at all in the pages of the San Juan, they have found a huge acceptance for a number of years. The Commission of Parades took the good initiative of absorbing it into the program of main activities to be developed.

Congas, comparsas, brass bands and other assets that form part of the traditional parades, dispersed among squares and streets showing how much the program of events coasted along high jinks in San Juan can help. A unique opportunity for communities spaces that cannot always be present throughout the usual parades.

Emblematic areas in the city, served in this opportunity as a starting point for these festive caravans, these ones, Cristo’s square, still has the image of Quintín at the tolling of quintos and requintos at each corner of the old neighborhood, Santa Ana’s Square, with alive memories of the populous fairs of the Chinese and La Merced when the best of the 19th century laid the foundations of the contemporary San Juan. The Cinco Esquinas of San Rafael, La Caridad’s Square, INRA’s trail, a longed space of old people from Camagüey, Palma street and el Jardín neighborhood were also present at the program. They were part of a long list that transported music and colors from these festivities.
