CAMAGÜEY.- The 25th edition of the Cinematographic Critique Workshop, from May 21 to 25, is among the priorities of the Provincial Committee of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (Uneac) in Camagüey for the current month, said the department of Promotion of that organization in the territory.

The event, which takes place since 1993, will be dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Cuban Institute of Film Art and Industry (Icaic) and includes panels and presentation of books whose themes revolve around the seventh art.

In this context, on May 22nd in the space Pluralities: theoretical debates will deepen around the 25 years of the workshop of cinematographic critique and inaugurate the collective exhibition of posters Los que no han llegado… ¡Llegarán!, the latter in the gallery Julian Moral.

In advance, on May 8, in the Camagüey´s subsidiary of the Uneac will be held the Club Introduction to the cinema, with the presentation and debate of films by the Doctor in Sciences Olga García Yero and the critic Armando Pérez Padrón.

The cultural program of the Camagüey´s subsidiary of the Uneac for the present month of May also includes a debate on the avant-garde local music, the Peña de Peña, to congratulate the members of the organization who meet their birthdays; and the gathering of Boleros The glory is you, with Simon Roberto and his guests.

The promotion department said that the cultural workshop Diario de campaña de José Martí: una lectura desde la narrativa is envisaged as well as the Peña of the combatants, dedicated to the Day of Africa and to the end of the Operation Carlota.
