CAMAGÜEY.-The integration of institutions and artistic talent of the territory in the main public spaces of the city will offer the people a cohesive program and at the height of an inheritance of 505 years, Tamia González Jiménez, provincial director of Culture, emphasized.

With this premise will be able to access the Camagüey’s citizens to the multiple options of the Week of the Camagüey Culture, that from February 1st to 7th celebrates the foundation of this metropolis with various moments to present the most valuable of the artistic work of the locals.

The inaugural gala, at 10:00 p.m. in the Revolution Square Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, will unite 700 artists of the territory in a spectacle that will revere the historical inheritance of the people born in this region, but with a more contemporary look.

It also highlights the Solemn Session of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power, which in the Plaza San Juan de Dios, on the night of February 2, will link government management and culture for the enjoyment of residents and visitors.

González Jiménez also invited the Third Artistic Meeting Sonido Camagüeyano, a space promoted by the musician Manolito Simonet, who with his group, El Trabuco, will arrive with students of the artistic teaching, local orchestras and invited ones to give away one of the most anticipated segments of the first week of February.

Among the formations that will animate the concert, with scenarios in the Caribbean cabaret, the Casino Campestre and the Revolution Square , are Maravillas de Florida, Sabor Cubano, Ritmo Moderno, Rumbatá, Habana de Primera, Cimafunk and Bamboleo.
