CAMAGÜEY.- The company Teatro de Luz and the Contemporary Ballet of Camagüey (BCC), they are some of the artistic groups who represent this province in 25th Romerías de Mayo, event that until next Monday develops in this city of the Cuban east.

Teatro de Luz participates in this occasion with the work Vivir la tradición (Live the tradition), a performance of Chinese statues, released during 27th International Fair of the Book, and Pordiosero (Beggar) or La colina de los tontos (The hill of the idiots).

Jesus Rueda, creator and director of the group, this one it is a question of the last premiere of the group, and it takes as objective to achieve a more nearby exchange with the public.

To come every year to the Romerías de Mayo is the opportunity of auto assess us and of perfecting the work that we present, because the persons that watch us are our judges, they show us what we must improve, he told.

For its part, the BCC takes part also with the premieres Sobre mi cuerda (On my rope), of the Guantanamo´s teacher of dance Yadismil Layter, and fragments of Club Havana, piece created by the choreographer Pedro Ruiz, which will be released completely in the Mella Theater of the Cuban capital in future August.

This Saturday there join several rappers and rockers of the Camagüey´s branch of the Association Brother Saíz to the Romerías, artists who in every edition of the event are waited in the activities and spaces dedicated to these musical genres.

With the participation of delegations of almost 20 nations of the whole world, the appointment began this Thursday, and every day it offers to the assistants the opportunity to present the local art and of other provinces in open spaces and cultural institutions of the demarcation.
