The expectations for appreciating a good sample of the Cuban culture grow, as the beginning of the festival Arts of Cuba approaches, which will be developed from May 8 until May 20 in the Center John F. Kennedy for the Scenic Arts, of Washington.

In accordance with the opinion of critics and specialists in the matter, spread by important international press means, the representatives of the biggest of the Antilles will show the humanity and beauty of the national culture in the American capital.

Approximately 400 artists, of them more than 200 come straight from Cuba and others taken root out of the island, will take part in the important meeting, with the presence of different art forms like music, theater, dances, cinema and plastic arts.

For its level of participation and diversity, it is considered to be the biggest cultural exchange of last years between Cuba and the United States and the only opportunity for the mutually beneficial dialogue between two nations.

Of the announced assistants stand out the members of the National Ballet of Cuba, which appeared in this institution 40 years ago, the bands Van Van and the Symphonic of the University of the Arts and the singer Omara Portuondo.
