Alfredo Cordero, president of the Cuban Institute of Civil Aeronautics, and Kimmo Lähdevirta, Director General for the Americas and Asia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, penned in Havana an air service between the two countries agreement.

40 million dollars and 46 million Cuban pesos, as part of a credit agreed between Cuba and Saudi Arabia, will be used for the rehabilitation of important works for the over-100 years old system of aqueduct and sewerage of this city.
