Mexico - Cuba University Seminar Kicks off in Camagüey

Camagüey, -Over 200 delegates are taking part in the 20th student scientific attended by students and teachers from Mexico and Cuba underway in this city, venue of this Higher-Education singular event in the island nation.

The event has rounded up representatives of the Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla (BUAP), the Higher Education Institute, - also in this capital city - and the Ignacio Agramonte y Loynaz University of Camagüey (UC).



PhD. Elio Pérez, member of the organizing committee and dean of the School of Constructions, highlighted the proven benefit of the two-decade showdown, which has had annual editions and is addressed to students.

He added that the area of construction has historically taken the path of previous convenings, but in the current the curriculum included more disciplines, as part of an increasing diversification of contents.

Lectures, brief courses and thesis advisory services to get degrees make up the project, to last until May 28th and aimed at the showdown of experiences in the teaching-learning process.

Alternative technologies for housing development, bio-climatic architecture in humid tropics, creation of logos and trademarks, applications of software products, and print journalism are some of the main topics.

The forum’s agenda includes the awarding of the Doctor Honoris Causa degree to BUAP member MSc. Manuel Sandoval by the Camagüey-based education center.

Created in 1967 as a subsidiary, the Ignacio Agramonte y Loynaz University has students from several provinces and foreign scholarship holders.
