Endedans Camagüey.- Casts of dancers from Holguín, Villa Clara and Camagüey will take part in the presentations marking the 10th anniversary of the Endedans Contemporary Ballet, to be held in this Cuban province.

The performances will be presented in Camaguey’s Principal Theater from May 25-27. For the opening, the ballet company will premiere “Si llego a besarte”, the piece with which author and director of the honored group Tania Vergara will be competing in the 8th Alicia Alonso Iberoamerican Choreography Awards.

The verdict and final results of this contest’s coming edition will be released in July. In the 2008 edition, the above-mentioned director won a prize with her “A los confines de la tierra”.

The presentations celebrating this new anniversary will gather olguin’s Chamber Ballet group and Codanza, Danza del Alma from Villa Clara, as well as Andarte and the Folkloric Ballet, both from the event’s venue – Camagüey.

Workshops on the world of dance will also be included in the cultural event’s program, as informed by Vergara in a press conference.

She also highlighted the professionalism of Endedans’ staff, the majority of whom have classical training, a factor of great importance for contemporary ballet.

Concerning the post-event performances, Vergara announced, among others, those to be held on June 29th, June 30th and July 1st accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra in Havana’s Grand Theater.
