HAVANA, Cuba,- The Scottish Parliament held a debate on Cuba and the case of the Cuban Five, on the occasion of the contemporary art exhibition Beyond the Frame by artists from UK and Cuba, including Antonio Guerrero and Gerardo Hernandez, two of the five Cuban anti-terrorism fighters.
Montevideo.- The President of Uruguay, Jose Mujica, expressed his solidarity with the five Cubans imprisoned by the United States government on alleged espionage charges, after meeting on Tuesday in Montevideo with Olga Salanueva, wife of René González, one of the Cuban patriots.
Havana.- As part of a monthly international day of action, activists and organizations around the world reiterated their strong call for the immediate release of the five Cubans imprisoned in the United States for their anti-terrorism actions.
I will hardly refer to the Cuban people, who one day rid their country of the United States domain, when the imperialist system had reached the height of its power.
Montevideo.- Uruguayan labor union PIT-CNT is extremely involved in backing the cause for the release of five anti-terrorist Cuban fighters unfairly sentenced in the United States, said member of the union leadership, Fernando Gamberra.
Havana.- President of the Cuban Parliament Ricardo Alarcon demanded U.S. President Barack Obama to order the immediate release of the five Cuban antiterrorists, who have been unjustly held in that country for almost 14 years. "Obama, do what you can and must do: order the immediate and unconditional release of the Five", noted Alarcon referring to the case of Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González and René González.
Havana.- The president of Ghana’s Parliament Joyce Adelina Bamford-Addo met with relatives of the five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters held in the United States since 1998.
